Killed in action Thursday 25 November 1915, aged 27.

When this William Jarvis enlisted at Derby, he gave Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, as his place of residence.
However, the 1901 census found him, aged 13, at 543 Cross Blocks, Stonebroom, with his parents Richard and Harriet Jarvis. That census records William as born in Stonebroom. His father was a Coal Hewer.
